Umahi Urges Nigerians to Give Tinubu Another Four Years to Complete Road Projects

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has appealed to Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu another four years to complete the road construction projects initiated by his administration.

Umahi made the appeal on Tuesday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction and dualisation of the 401-kilometre Lambata–Kontagora Highway in Bida, Niger State. The project is valued at ₦1.5 trillion.

The minister described the highway as a major infrastructure project under Tinubu’s administration, noting that the government was pursuing road development across the country.

He said the administration needed another term to complete its ongoing road projects, which are intended to improve connectivity, facilitate the movement of goods and people, and boost economic activities.

Umahi also identified the highway as the fifth legacy road project of the Tinubu administration, highlighting its planned reinforced concrete pavement and the involvement of the Dangote Group through the Federal Government’s infrastructure tax-credit scheme.
