Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has declared his support for Senator Sharafadeen Alli ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, insisting that Governor Seyi Makinde’s tenure is coming to an end.
In a statement attributed to Igboho, he said Alli would become the next governor of Oyo State, noting that the senator had contested previous elections without losing.
Igboho also criticised Makinde amid growing political tensions in the state, making controversial remarks about the governor’s family background.
He further warned that individuals he described as hoodlums working with political opponents would be apprehended.
The remarks come as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 governorship election. Alli has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, while political parties continue preparations for the contest.
Makinde has also been involved in exchanges with political opponents over the direction of the forthcoming election.
However, Igboho’s claims and predictions remain his personal political assertions, and the outcome of the election will ultimately be determined by voters.
