A 55-year-old motorist narrowly escaped injury after a moving train collided with his Honda car at the PWD railway crossing in Lagos State.
The incident occurred on October 9, 2026, involving a train travelling towards Agege and a Honda vehicle with registration number EKY 902 JT.
The collision left the car severely damaged, but the driver reportedly survived without injuries. Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), working with security personnel, rescued him and removed the wreckage from the railway track.
The incident caused traffic disruption around the PWD axis before the damaged vehicle was cleared.
LASTMA urged motorists to exercise caution around railway crossings and avoid attempting to cross when a train is approaching or already in motion.
