Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has opened up about her painful journey to motherhood, revealing that she underwent five surgeries in 2022 while trying to conceive.
In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, the Yoruba actress disclosed that the repeated medical procedures became so overwhelming that her doctor eventually advised her to stop undergoing further surgeries.
Adesanya also recounted how some colleagues allegedly mocked her over her inability to have a child, with reports stating that she spent 16 years in her first marriage without conceiving.
She praised fellow actress Iyabo Ojo for standing by her during her fertility struggles and difficulties in her previous marriage. According to Adesanya, Ojo even intervened personally when she was going through a difficult period in Akure.
The actress’s long journey to motherhood eventually ended in joy when she welcomed a baby girl with her husband through surrogacy in March 2026.
Her story has drawn attention to the emotional challenges faced by women experiencing fertility difficulties and the importance of support during difficult times.
